I want to Study in Canada!

The necessity of your life is a good education!

The Colleges and Universities in Canada share a common culture of quality and excellence in studies. The Canadian colleges are more having commitment to ensuring high standards are achieved and maintain their academic programs. Canada’s education system is multi-layered, comprehensive and rigorous.

In Canada, education is the most desirable route to earning a decent life and to enhance your personal growth and choose a good job. According to a data from HSBC, global study of 6,241 parents across 15 countries and territories, parents around the world say that when it comes to quality of education, quality of life and job prospects for international post-secondary students, Canada is a top-three destination. The high quality of education you get act as a mark of trust and excellence. You get world class research opportunities. Canadian colleges and universities offer a great support to research in the disciplines of medicine, pharmaceutics, telecommunication, aerospace engineering, agriculture, environmental studies including GIS and information technology. Canadian studies and university are lot affordable compared to tuition fee charged by UK, Australian or US. Apart from an affordable tuition fee, you will also find a great cultural diversity. The multicultural society in Canada promotes friendliness, peaceful and holistic environment. You can also earn while you study, vibrant college campuses and finally immigration opportunity for you to work with world class Canadian employers and can think of settling here permanently.

You enjoy staying at academic or residence buildings in campus or close to campus. You find affordable dorms with all the amenities. Even if you choose to stay outside the campus, the colleges often offer you “Go Safe” options for someone to accompany you at late nights. The Canadian public transportation network is very strong which makes your commute an enjoyable ride. There are upcoming new transportation projects like LRT, extending GO and TTC coming up to connect all the places to each other in a most affordable and time saving way.

As a student doing your higher education, you get post graduate work permit and may be a chance of getting your first permanent job offer. Now, best part of this is, the immigration system encourages such applicants to apply for Permanent residency and to live in Canada permanently who have studied and worked in Canada as an International student. There are many provinces in Canada who have separate processes for international students under their provincial immigration process to apply for permanent residency. Think! which all countries have such encouraging, easily achievable point systems to qualify for permanent residency?

What is a study permit?

The study permit is a document that has been issued by IRCC that allows foreign nationals to study at designated learning institutions (DLI) in Canada. almost every foreign national need a study permit to study in Canada. Our RCIC (Authorized Representative of IRCC and member of ICCRC can apply before you travel to Canada. Your study permit is provided at one of the Canadian Port of Entry when you enter in Canada. You may need a student visa or a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA) upon your study permit application.

In case you are staying and nationals of below mentioned countries then, you may obtain a study permit faster through the Student Direct Stream only if you are living in China, India, Morocco, Pakistan, the Philippines, Senegal or Vietnam.

International students who have studied and completed a program of at least eight months at an eligible DLI and have applied for Post graduate Work permit will always have lucrative offers lying for them. These work permits allow any international students who have completed their studies to work with multinational companies who are ready to get absorbed. Students studying in Canadian colleges or institutions hold a study permit. This allows you to work up to 20 hours per week during classes and full time during scheduled breaks in your academic calendar. There are many internships which are available and employers do recruitment and hiring students under Summer Internships or Winter Internships or Co-op Placements where the Co-op work placements forms an integral and mandatory part of your studies that cannot be more than 50% of your total program of study. Students are always encouraged to have good grades, meet the criteria of their study permit and have a valid social insurance number to get hired and placed in multinationals in Science, Engineering, IT, Finance, Business, Telecom, Healthcare or Service and Hospitality sectors.

There are different ways an international student in Canada can be benefited while studying his or her course. You may either opt for

On campus work: Under the Canadian Immigration law, a full time international student can work up to 20 hours per week on campus for the first six months of their studies without a work permit.

Off campus work: After six months of full time study, an international student in Canada can apply for a work permit to work up to 20 hours per week on or off campus and full time during scheduled breaks, like summer or winter holidays or even reading weeks.

Internship / Co-op Work Placement: Many colleges of their repute offer this. It’s another way an international student can get a first-hand knowledge about Canadian employment market that includes an internship or co-op work placement. Students in co-op programs complete up to three work terms with a Canadian company or corporation or multinationals, doing work related to their program of study. If you were in a co-op program (or another academic program with a similar work placement or internship), your co-op work experience does not count towards Canadian experience class work experience. You can only count work experience that you get after you graduate. Many other programs offer internships, which are unpaid, but still allow international students to build their career with Canadian work experience.

Volunteer Work Experience: Canadian employers view volunteer work experience as very valuable, and the life experiences you can take away are priceless. It gives you an opportunity to get gelled with lots of other students from different sect and you come to know a different culture thereby broadening your thoughts to achieve something.

Staying in Canada and Working after Graduation: After successful graduation, international students may be eligible to apply for a post-graduate work permit to stay and work in Canada for up to three years. This depends upon your DLI being accepted by IRCC in order for you to apply for PGWP. The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) allows you if you have graduated from an eligible Canadian (DLIs) to obtain an open work permit to gain valuable Canadian work experience. Only Skilled Canadian work experience in National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0 or skill level A or B that is gained through the PGWP will make you eligible to apply for permanent residence in Canada through the Canadian experience class within Express Entry. You can only receive a post-graduate work permit in Canada once, so if a student is considering a second program or wants to continue on to university with transfer credits, he/she should wait until completing all of their studies in Canada to maximize the length of the post-graduate work permit they are eligible to apply for. The length of a post-graduate work permit will be determined by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Once, you have chosen your college then either you can our RCIC or you may get the admission done by yourself. You can find me helpful in both the conditions either for getting your admission secured at a Canadian DLI or just getting you the student visa or permit processing done.

You may use your student work experience to meet work experience requirements for Federal Skilled Worker Program: Student work experience gained while you were studying in Canada or abroad counts towards the minimum requirements for the Federal Skilled Worker Program if the work: a) was paid by wages or commissions, b) was continuous (no gaps in employment), and c) meets all the other requirements of the Program. This includes co-op terms and apprenticeships.

Under Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Program this Student work experience doesn’t count towards the minimum requirements.

Such applications usually face rejections. You will not gain anything but; lose your money, energy, and most preciously, the Time.
